Today was the 4th Sunday of the month, so I travelled by bus to the Kamigamo Tezukuri-ichi Market. By the time I got there the bus was packed and the bus driver had to turn people away at many of the stops …they were all heading to the market, so I thought to myself this has to be a good market.
Day 3 starts with breakfast in Kiso and ends with a Nagomi Visit in Kyoto
On the second day it was an early start at 6:00 am, my adventure started with a trip on the Shinkanen which travels at a top speed of 285 km an hour and looks kinda like a Ferrari racing car at the front.
Japan – Day 1 - Kyoto Nishiki Market
My first day was a visit to a local market, on the way stopping at the Nishiki Market (food marketvopen daily) to have a sneak preview before spending more time here later in the week.
3 years ago Julie and I decided that we were going to kayak from Marahau to Anchorage. Last year cyclone Lucy meant we had to cancel our trip and wait another year.
Mel and I took a road trip after Christmas to visit Ron in Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupo and Mel’s parents bach at Amuri on the other side of Lake Taupo. It turns out that this trip turned out to be a trip to check out to be a tour of the artists!
On the way home from visiting the family in Toronto, we took a brief stop in Vancouver to break the long journey home
